Board Grants 2 Variances

Posted: October 16, 1986

The Warminster Zoning Hearing Board has granted two variances to the township's 50-foot setback requirement.

At its Tuesday night meeting, the board granted a rear-yard variance to James M. Yates of Bryon Drive to allow construction of an enclosed patio at the rear of his property. Yates needed a variance because the proposed patio, which would be 15 by 25 feet, would fall within the setback area.

The board also approved the application of Gerald W. Shapren for a rear- yard variance to allow construction of an additional bedroom and a bathroom on his Hardman Lane property. The addition would fall within the setback requirement.

Two other applications were scheduled to be heard but were continued until Oct. 28 when no one appeared to testify on their behalf.

Richard Campbell, president of Benjamin Obdyke Inc. in the John Fitch Industrial Park, is seeking a variance to permit six parking spaces within the 60-foot setback from the property line.

The Delp Corp., situated on Louis Drive, is asking for a special exception to allow the use of a temporary office trailer until construction of a building addition is completed.
