Panel Recommends Subdivision

Posted: December 07, 1986

The West Bradford Township Planning Commission has voted to recommend approval of a subdivision on Telegraph Road that would permit the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to add to its property.

Robert Hodge requested the subdivison of a 16-acre parcel into a 14-acre lot and a two-acre lot. Hodge plans to sell the two-acre lot to the church.

At a meeting Tuesday night, the commission voted 5-0 to recommend the approval to the Board of Supervisors.

With the two-acre lot, the church will increase its holdings to 5.9 acres.

Bruce Taylor of West Chester, a church member, said the church wanted the two-acre lot for a buffer of land behind the church building. There are no

plans to build on the two acres, he said.

Hodge's tract has been used to grow strawberries.

The commission also voted to cancel its Dec. 16 meeting because of the holiday. The panel's next meeting will be Jan. 6.
