BUFFALO — Stephen Thomas, the Chicago Blackhawks' left winger, was arrested late Sunday and charged with public lewdness after allegedly urinating on a back wall of the Buffalo police headquarters, police said yesterday.
Thomas, 24, did not play in Chicago's 5-3 loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Sunday night.
Officer Sharon Grande said she was on her way into the headquarters about 11:40 p.m. when she spotted the player in the parking area behind the building.
Grande said that she initially told the man that he was welcome to use the restroom inside the building but that he responded that he was "just fine" where he was.
