Judge Clears Richette's Son

Posted: February 04, 1988

Lawrence Richette, son of Common Pleas Judge Lisa Richette, was found innocent today of harrassing a police officer during a scuffle in December.

Richette, 28, of Lombard Street near 19th, was arrested Dec. 24 after being involved in a minor traffic accident at 2nd and South streets.

He was searched at the 6th Police District and a small amount of marijuana was found, police said.

He was transferred to the Police Administration Building, where he allegedly cursed and punched Police Officer John Bradbury.

Municipal Judge James DeLeon ruled today Richette's actions weren't ''harrassment" according to the definition under Pennsylvania law.
