The latest China hand? None other than John Goodchild, president and chief operating officer of the Weightman Group.
Goodchild will speak on the value of public relations during the International Public Relations Conference in Beijing. The conference, sponsored by the China Public Relations Corp. and the China International Economic and Technological Exchange Center, began last Tuesday and runs through this week.
Before shoving off, Goodchild, making his first trek to the land of mai tais and quilted jackets, said the trip came about through a chance meeting with a visiting professor from China at a conference at Goodchild's alma mater, Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa. One thing led to another, Goodchild said, and before long the tickets were in hand.
