All Aboard To See 2 Rooms Of Trains

PHOENIXVILLE — Twenty years of creation will be on display for four weekends beginning Saturday when the Schuylkill Valley Model Railroad Club here opens its doors to the public.

The club's 1,000-foot layout covers two rooms and features realistic details: the Philadelphia skyline, a harbor, underpasses, grade crossings, a roundhouse, towns and automobiles.

Included with the display will be the popular Thomas the Tank Engine from the PBS children's series Shining Time Station.

The club headquarters is located at in the basement of the Phoenixville Orthopedics Association Building at Second Avenue and Main Street in Phoenixville.

The open house will be held from 1 to 5 p.m., Nov. 27, 28, Dec. 4, 5 and Jan. 8, 9, 15 and 16. Admission is free, but donations are accepted.
