Marion J. Heitman, 80, A Retired School Nurse

Marion Johnson Heitman, 80, a retired school nurse and former resident of Willow Grove and Horsham, died Wednesday at her home in Langhorne.

Mrs. Heitman was born in Abington and graduated from Abington High School in 1933. She graduated from Abington Memorial Hospital's School of Nursing in 1938 and in 1963 earned a degree from what is now West Chester University.

She resided for many years in Willow Grove and in Horsham before moving to Langhorne three years ago.

In 1975, Mrs. Heitman retired after 18 years as a nurse for the Upper Moreland School District.

She had been a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Abington for 45 years and also belonged to the American Red Cross and the Oreland Quilters.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Harrison H. Heitman; a daughter, Carolyn Friedell; two sons, Robert and William; a brother; two sisters; and six grandchildren.

A memorial service was held yesterday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial was private.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross, 1421 Highland Ave., Abington, Pa. 19001.

MARYANN DEMIAN, 84, A RETIRED BUS DRIVER

Maryann K. Springer Demian, 84, of Trevose, a retired school bus driver, died Dec. 10 at Brighten at Lakeside in Langhorne.

Mrs. Demian, who was born and educated in Philadelphia, resided in Croydon for 21 years before moving to Trevose 21 years ago.

She had been a school bus driver for many years for the Bristol Township district.

Mrs. Demian was a member of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church in Feasterville and of the Neshaminy Senior Citizens Center.

Her first husband, Charles W. Springer, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband of many years, George J. Demian; a son, Charles J. Springer; a daughter, Dolores Lucisano; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Dunn Funeral Home, Bellevue and Gillam Avenues, Langhorne.

A funeral mass will be said at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Meadowbrook and Bristol Roads, Feasterville. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Susquehanna and Easton Roads, Roslyn.

VERONICA KOZIOL, 81; WAS DISTRICT WORKER

Veronica Hricko Koziol, 81, of Bristol Township, a former township school district employee, died Wednesday at St. Mary Medical Center in Middletown Township.

Mrs. Koziol was born and educated in Beaver Meadows, Carbon County. She had to leave school at an early age to help support the family of 13 children after her father was killed in a mining accident.

She had resided in the Bristol area for 52 years.

She retired in 1976 after 15 years of employment in the school district's laundry operation.

Mrs. Koziol was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Levittown and of the Bristol Township senior citizens organization.

For 32 years, she was the wife of Peter Hricko, who died in 1964. She then was married for 25 years to Frank Koziol, who died in 1994.

She is survived by daughters Virginia Fetch and Patricia White; sons Peter S. Hricko and Robert Hricko; a sister; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great- grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 8:30 a.m. today at William H. Carter Funeral Home, 314 Cedar St., Bristol Borough. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Route 1 bypass in Middletown Township.
