Rodney Durbach of South Africa, ranked No. 3 in the world, won one of the quarterfinal matches in the $12,000 Philadelphia Open Squash Racquets Championship yesterday at the Racquet Club.
Durbach came through three closely played games to defeat Juha Raumolin of Finland, No. 43 in the world, by 15-12, 15-11, 15-13.
In another quarterfinal, Jason Nicolle of England, second seeded and No. 25 in the world ranking, barely stood off Damian Walker of Atlanta, 15-9, 15-11, 15-17, 15-14.
