OLD SCHOOL FLAVA. The music just keeps on coming at the Dell East, 33rd Street and Ridge Avenue, and tonight is no exception. R&B/jazz/funk icons Mandrill and War (pictured) kick it starting at 8 p.m., as part of the WDAS-FM radio's Unity Week 1997 festivities. Tickets are $15, $9 & $6. Info: 215-685-9560.

PO-JAZZ. If it's jazz and it's poetry, it must be the third Monday of the month. The PO-JAZZ CONNECTION presents music by the Arpeggio Jazz Ensemble - along with poet/rapper Zaki Bey - at Warmdaddy's, 6 S. Front St. Time is 7-11 p.m. An open session for both experienced and novice readers will follow. Admission is $5. Info: 215-438-8836.

MO-JAZZ. If you loved all that great jazz guitar on Tracey Chapman's ``New Beginnings'' CD, get out tonight and hear the guy who provided the licks, Adam Levy, with his group Hubris, performing at 9 p.m. at Ortlieb's Jazzhaus, 847 N. 3rd St. (at Poplar Street). The show starts at 9 p.m. and will cost you $6. Call for reservations: 215-922-1035.

CALLING ALL BANDS. Do you and the rest of the guys who hang around in your garage have what it takes to break into the record biz? Hey, it worked for those guys in the movie ``That Thing You Do,'' so who's to say your band won't be discovered? One way to start is to participate in Club 34's on-going Battle of the Bands. Prize is $100. No cover charge for groupies-to-be who just wanna listen. Show time is 9 p.m. The club's at 735 S. Columbus Ave. Info: 215-923-2500.
