Sal Vallozzi of South Philadelphia waves an Italian flag as he marches on Broad Street yesterday in the 47th annual Columbus Day Parade. Festivities included a flag-raising ceremony at DiProspero Playground, 12th and Wharton, a wreath-laying at the Christopher Columbus statue at Marconi Plaza, Broad and Oregon, and a ceremony at the Penn's Landing monument in honor of the explorer.
