An interfaith Thanksgiving service will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Congregation Beth El-Ner Tamid, 715 Paxon Hollow Rd., Broomall.
The service is being sponsored by the Marple-Newtown Clergy Association.
Those attending are being asked to bring, hats, gloves, scarves and stuffed animals. The items will be donated to the homeless in Delaware County.
* Gladwyne's interfaith Thanksgiving service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Beth David Reform Congregation, 1130 Vaughns Lane, Gladwyne.
* The annual Thanksgiving service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Washington Memorial Chapel, Route 23, Valley Forge National Historical Park.
PROGRAMS * Alexander Contract, who served as a bodyguard to Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin, will speak at the men's breakfast held by Beth David Reform Congregation, 1130 Vaughns Lane, Gladwyne, at 9:30 a.m. Sunday.
The cost is $5.
* A solemn evening prayer service for the feast of Christ the King will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. John Chrysostom Church, 617 S. Providence Rd., Wallingford.
* A workshop on the season of Epiphany will be held for pastors, worship leaders, musicians and the laity from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 355 St. John's Circle, Phoenixville.
The keynote speaker will be the Rev. Gordon Lathrop, professor of theology and chaplain at the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia.
* An alternative gift market will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church, 625 Montgomery Ave.
Shoppers may buy items that will be donated to needy people around the world.
