Catholic Revival At Wynnewood Church

The 1998 Catholic Revival Conference will be held beginning with a Mass at 6 p.m. June 21. It continues at 7 p.m. June 22 through 25 at Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 230 Haverford Rd., Wynnewood.

Services at 10 a.m. will also be held on June 23, 24 and 25.

The revival celebrates the Holy Spirit with a series of special services and prayers. The conference will be led by Msgr. Vincent M. Walsh.

Speakers include the Rev. Thomas Di Lorenzo and Ruth Ward Heflin, author of Glory and Revival Glory.

The conference is free and open to the public, but registrations are requested by calling the church at 610-896-1970.

QUAKER PROGRAM * The first in a series of bicentennial programs, ``Westtown in War and Peace: Let Us See What Love Can Do,'' will be held at 1 p.m. tomorrow at Westtown School, on Westtown Road 2 1/2 miles east of Route 202.

The Quaker school was founded in 1799.

The symposium will feature Westtown alumni who have served in the military as conscientious objectors in civilian public service during World War II; in alternative service during the Vietnam War; and as peace activists throughout the world.

SIMCHA * Special-needs children and their families are invited to a program by SIMCHA (Special Individuals Meeting Challenges with Heartwarming Activities), from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Temple Beth Hillel-Beth El, 1001 Remington Rd., Wynnewood.

The afternoon of prayer and song will include a workshop for adults led by Rabbi Allan Kensky, called ``Finding the Prayer Within You.'' There will be a music workshop for children, led by Cantor Scott Borsky, and crafts activities.

SIMCHA is supported by the Jewish Family and Children's Service of Greater Philadelphia and the Auerbach Central Agency for Jewish Education.

MIME MINISTRY * Christ's Re-generation Mime Ministry of the First Baptist Church of Oakeola, 600 Oak Lane, Glenolden, will celebrate its first anniversary with a program at 3 p.m. Sunday.

FUND-RAISING EVENTS * St. Herman of Alaska Orthodox Church, 1855 Middletown Rd., Gradyville, will hold a spring festival from noon to 8 p.m. tomorrow. Rain date is June 20.

* A strawberry festival will be held at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 50 E. Plumstead Ave., Lansdowne.

* Church of the Good Samaritan, 212 W. Lancaster Ave., Paoli, will hold its fair days from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow.
