Camden County College Expands Its Substitute-certification Scope Besides Continuing To Offer Training Sessions For Teachers, The School Is Launching A One-day Program For Nurses.

To meet the demand for substitute teachers and school nurses, Camden County College is continuing its substitute-teacher certification program and is introducing a certification program for substitute nurses.

The college's Office of School Relations will begin its third year of training substitute teachers with a 20-hour session Sept. 22-24 at the Blackwood campus.

Other sessions will follow in October, November and December at the Blackwood campus and in October at the Camden campus.

The one-day, eight-hour program for substitute nurses is available to those who already are general or registered nurses. It will be held at the Blackwood campus on Nov. 20 and on a date in February to be announced.

In the semester starting in September, the college will offer several noncredit business and industry training programs: business management, investing, manufacturing technology, insurance, allied health, computer programming, and personal-computer repair.

The college also will offer noncredit classes in crafts, foreign languages, American Sign Language, martial arts, dancing, real estate education, holistic health practices, and small-business practices.

Burlington County College
