Wanted: Possible future priests

The Philadelphia Archdiocese is holding a gathering in Wynnewood on April 10 for men ages 18 to 40 who are considering joining the priesthood.

The St. John Neumann discernment group will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, 100 E. Wynnewood Rd. There will be communal prayer, discussion and refreshments. For details, call the Rev. Joseph P. Devlin at 610-667-5778.

Holocaust remembrance

* Ann Weiss, author of The Last Album: Eyes From the Ashes of Auschwitz-Birkenau, will be the featured guest at Har Zion Temple's Holocaust Remembrance Day program at 7:30 p.m. April 18. The free event is open to the public and will be held at the temple, 1500 Hagys Ford Rd., Penn Valley. Weiss, of Bryn Mawr, discovered a cache of hidden photos while touring Auschwitz in 1986 and spent the next 14 years archiving them and learning about the people they reflected.

Scholar visits

* Biblical scholar Marcus Borg will be at Swarthmore Presbyterian Church, 727 Harvard Ave., as theologian-in-residence this weekend. He will lead discussion in the sanctuary tonight from 7:30 to 9:30 and tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call 610-543-4712 to reserve a box lunch. Everyone is welcome.

Help for parents

* Reformation Lutheran Church, 102 W. Rose Tree Rd., Media, is holding two clinics for parents of young children on managing time and stress. The hourlong programs will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday and April 7. For reservations, call 610-891-0600, Ext. 10.

Movie night

* At the family movie night at 7:30 p.m. April 6 at Trinity United Presbyterian Church, 360 N. Oak Ave., Clifton Heights, The Iron Gate will be shown. Admission and refreshments are free.

Music programs

* The Lighthouse Cafe in the basement of Proclamation Presbyterian Church, 278 Bryn Mawr Ave., Bryn Mawr, will feature a solo performance by harpist Joanna Shawruss from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. April 6. Shawruss is a harpist with the Main Line Symphony Orchestra. For information, call 610-520-9500.
