This one's a dilly

The lunchtime crowd at Your Gourmet Kitchen, 114 E. Lancaster Ave. in Wayne, knows what they like, and the Roast Beef and Dill Havarti sandwich is it.

When Devin Forte and Chuck Crocco bought Your Gourmet Kitchen less than two years ago, they decided not to change the menu too much. "We inherited [the Roast Beef and Dill Havarti] recipe from the previous owners, who actually got it from the owners before that," says Forte.

It looks like this sandwich, which brings together Your Gourmet Kitchen-roasted roast beef, bitter radicchio, hot cherry peppers, horseradish sauce and the dill-Havarti cheese, is here to stay.

4 ounces medium-rare roast beef

1 ounce shredded radicchio

2 ounces diced hot cherry peppers

2 ounces creamy horseradish sauce (recipe below)

2 ounces sliced dill-Havarti cheese

1 steak roll (6-inches long)

Salt and pepper to taste

Split the steak roll in half and coat with horseradish sauce. Sprinkle on the radicchio and hot peppers. Next, add the dill-Havarti cheese, making sure to cover the entire roll. Add the roast beef and salt and pepper. Cut in half and enjoy.

2 ounces mayonnaise

1/2 ounce prepared horseradish

1/2 ounce Worcestershire sauce

Pinch of parsley

Mix all ingredients together.
