RUSSELL Crowe and his wife, Danielle Spencer, are the parents of a baby boy. Charles Spencer Crowe was born Sunday night, weighing 6 pounds 2 ounces. "He's a healthy, bouncing baby boy looking forward to Christmas," Crowe's publicist said.

Wow, he must be a prodigy.

Rocker Jack White may be trading in his White Stripes for vertical stripes. He was formally charged yesterday with aggravated assault after a Dec. 13 fight with Von Bondies lead singer Jason Stollsteimer at the Majestic Theatre.

White could face up to a year in prison if convicted."It seems that far too often celebrities think that the law does not apply to them," Wayne County Prosecutor Mike Duggan said at a news conference.

The two attended a gathering titled "You Are Not Alone," after a Jackson song. The event drew about 600 people, including tennis star Serena Williams, rapper MC Hammer and comedian Eddie Griffin.

With the troubles he's had lately, Jackson can use a prayer, or two, from his friends.

* "American Idol" Ruben Studdard has settled his lawsuit against the makers of hip-hop clothing line 205 Flava Inc.

All that's known is that the parent company of "American Idol," 19-Entertainment, will begin marketing 205 Flava products.

* The New York Post's Page Six reports future People Paper intern Paris Hilton spent $600 on hair products at the Beverly Hills Frederic Fekkai salon last time she had her blonde locks color-corrected.

Page Six also hears that when Paris recently appeared on "Saturday Night Live," she had no idea who that night's host, Al Sharpton, was.
