Wilmington downs Frederick

WILMINGTON - The Wilmington Blue Rocks pounded out 15 hits last night to beat the Frederick Keys, 9-5, in the Carolina League.

Mike Aviles singled home the go-ahead run off reliever Nick McCurdy in the seventh inning and Daryl Clark doubled in another run.

Lake Co. 8, Lakewood 7

EASTLAKE, Ohio - The Captains rallied from a 7-4 deficit with four runs in the ninth inning to beat the BlueClaws in the South Atlantic League.

Kevin Kouzmanoff's one-out double scored the tying run before Mike Conroy's sacrifice fly to center field scored Brady Snyder with the game-winner on the next at-bat.
