Wilmington on brink of title

KINSTON, N.C. - Damaso Espino's grand slam in the second inning propelled the Wilmington Blue Rocks to a 10-1 win over the Kinston Indians last night in the Carolina League championship series.

Starter Jonah Bayliss scattered three hits and one run over seven innings, giving the Blue Rocks a lead of two games to none in the best-of-five series.

Camden 6, Nashua 2

The Riversharks remained in first place in the Atlantic League's South Division with a victory over the Pride at Campbell's Field.

Atlantic City 6, Long Island 5

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. - The Surf erased a 5-2 deficit against the Ducks to win their Atlantic League game.
