With today's 24-hour news channels and the Internet, you really don't have to wait until the 11 o'clock news to find out something that was briefly reported at 6. My family and I rarely watch the news or read newspapers anymore because everything is on the Internet.
And by the time the newspaper is published or the TV news comes on, it is already old news.
