That's sweet. But the baby better not look like Bam Margera or Johnny Knoxville . . . or Afleet Alex.
A day with 'Casanova'
"Casanova," opening Christmas Day, is a comedic, fictionalized retelling of the life of the famed Venetian lover. Directed by Lasse Hallstrom, the movie stars Heath Ledger, Sienna Miller, Lena Olin (aka Mrs. Hallstrom) and Oliver Platt.
Yesterday was the film's press day in NYC and here are a few Tattle-ish tidbits:
Asked if alleged former flame Daniel Craig might push for her to be a Bond babe, Miller laughed and said she doubted Craig would want to recommend her. Besides, she said, "I don't think it's the right time for me to be a Bond girl. I think it would undo all the hard work I've done over the last few years."
Miller starts shooting "Factory Girl," the story of Andy Warhol muse Edie Sedgwick, in December. She'll play Edie. Shreveport, Louisiana, will play New York.
Platt, who plays the buffoonish Paprizzio - betrothed to Miller's Francesca but hot for Olin's Andrea, plays much of his role naked, in a fat suit, slathered in slime - said the role was actually a lot of fun and he embraced it because he knew he was going "to get Lena Olin in the end."
"I saw Lena in 'The Unbearable Lightness of Being,' " he said, "and fell in love with her instantly - so I wasn't really acting."
"I love Oliver," said Olin, her husband out of earshot. "I find him sexy and handsome and he can't believe it. He's a man who never lets that get in the way in his relationship with a woman."
We think Olin meant that as a compliment.
Another "compliment" was given Platt by Miller, whom, you may have heard, has been linked to the decidedly un-Platt-like Jude Law - and by that we mean Platt's a much better actor.
"No one else can wear a fat suit like [Oliver] and get away with it," she said.
