The Wings couldn't hold off Arizona yesterday, falling, 13-12, in a National Lacrosse League game at the Wachovia Center.
The Wings led after one quarter, and the game was tied, 9-9, after Jake Bergey's goal early in the fourth period.
But Arizona responded with goals by Lindsay Plunkett, Curt Malawsky and Craig Conn to take the lead for good.
Jeff Ratcliffe pulled the Wings to within two with six minutes remaining. Dan Marohl added a final goal with goalie Matt Roik pulled for an extra attacker, but the Wings couldn't force overtime.
