From one team of Wildcats to another? Wright says he is 'very happy' at 'Nova

ST. LOUIS - Tubby Smith is out at Kentucky.

Which means potentially everyone else is in, including Villanova coach Jay Wright. As has been the case for most of Wright's 6 years on the Main Line, his name made the short list of potential Kentucky hires on ESPN.com.

And just as he did when his name came up in conjunction with jobs at Oklahoma and Cincinnati, Wright brushed aside the rumors.

"I'd be flattered," Wright said, "but I'm very happy at Villanova."

Also making the list is Florida coach Billy Donovan, who had the good fortune yesterday of finishing up his Q & A with the media about 30 minutes after the Smith news came.

Donovan was able to slip off the practice court without answering any questions to the assembled media, though athletic director Jeremy Foley did chide reporters for bringing up the subject to a coach trying to pursue a second straight national championship. *
