Healthy again, O'Hair is looking forward to a good week at the Players, especially coming off a run of four top-15 finishes in the last six weeks.
"I'm hitting the ball good enough," he said. "I'm not 100 percent, but I'm hitting it well enough to play well."
After the Players, O'Hair will take two weeks off before playing in Jack Nicklaus' Memorial Tournament, immediately followed by a U.S. Open qualifier in Ohio.
17th gimmicky? Tiger Woods
caused a bit of a stir here this week when he described Sawgrass' infamous island green 17th hole as "gimmicky."
Woods' beef is not so much that the hole exists or that it's an island green but that he thinks it comes too late in the round.
"I think that would be a fantastic eighth hole but not as the 71st hole of a tournament or the 17th hole of your round," he said.
Informed of Woods' comments, PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem was unfazed.
"It doesn't trouble me," said Finchem, noting that for players going off the first and 10th tees in early rounds that the 17th does play as the eighth at times.
"He's the first player I've heard suggest we move it to No. 8 on the weekend," said Finchem. "We do not intend to do that."
