Reading comeback falls short

READING - A late rally fell short as the Reading Phillies lost to the Harrisburg Senators, 6-5, in the Eastern League last night.

Reading's Mike Costanzo ripped his team-leading 11th homer, a two-run shot, in the third. Chris Coste doubled in two runs in the ninth.

OTTAWA, Ontario - Justin Ruggiano was 3 for 5 with two doubles and three runs scored to lead the Bulls in the International League.

SALISBURY, Md. - Daniel Figueroa tripled and scored in the bottom of the eighth as the Shorebirds won in the South Atlantic League.

W-Salem 5, Wilmington 2

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Cole Armstrong's two-run homer led the Warthogs in the Carolina League.

Nashua 3, Atlantic City 1

ATLANTIC CITY - Olmo Rosario led off the game with a homer and triggered the Pride's win and a sweep of the three-game Can-Am League series.
