HACKENSACK, N.J. - Bergen County prosecutors say a Ramsey, N.J., mother, tipped by a neighbor, used software to uncover her teenage daughter was having sex with a Montgomery County man she met online.

Authorities say the software allowed the mother to copy chats between the 15-year-old and Joseph Maloney, a 42-year-old married real estate broker from Oreland. Authorities say the pair met through the Netlog.com networking site in April. They chatted online for a few weeks before meeting at least twice for sex at a motel, authorities said.

Undercover detectives posed as a 14-year-old girl to lure Maloney to the town on Friday. He was being held on $150,000 bail, charged with sexual assault, luring and child endangerment. - AP
