Clot ends career of 'Cuse's Pierce

Posted: August 21, 2007

Former Kennedy-Kenrick High football player Jermaine Pierce, a redshirt freshman linebacker at Syracuse, has been told his career is over because of what head coach Greg Robinson called a "life threatening" blood clot, according to the Syracuse Post-Standard.

The 6-4, 240-pound Pierce, of Norristown, complained of chest pain after practice last Monday and hasn't practiced since. Robinson said Pierce will remain a student under scholarship until he graduates. *
