Still tix available for homestand

Posted: September 28, 2007

Seats (and rally towels) remain for the final homestand of the regular season. John Weber, vice president for sales and ticket operations, said the team is expecting the following:

* Tonight, 7:05 p.m.: 40,000 to 43,000.

* Tomorrow, 3:55 p.m.: 41,000 to 43,000.

* Sunday, 1:35 p.m.: Sold out (standing-room tickets will go on sale at 9 a.m.).

Weber said that tickets would go on sale sometime late Sunday in the event of a tiebreaker game vs. the Mets on Monday at Citizens Bank Park. The Mets wrap up with a 1:10 p.m. game at Shea Stadium vs. the Marlins, so it would be late afternoon before anyone knows if that game would need to be played.

One fact that's certain is that the Phils will pass 3 million fans for the third time in franchise history. They entered play last night at 2,933,255 and most certainly will bust through that 3 million ceiling tonight. *
