If, by any chance, you were down near the shore yesterday and were watching the Phillies clinch the NL East, here's hoping you were at your favorite watering hole and Orvis R. Leopardi was buying.
Leopardi, of Marmora, N.J., won $1,000 Saturday when Aaron Rowand hit his 27th home run of the season in the seventh inning of the Phils' 4-2 loss to the Nationals.
Orvis became the 17th and final winner this season, during which the Daily News gave out $25,000. Rob Boyle was the only $10,000 winner, on a Ryan Howard grand slam Sept. 17.
