Wie's former agent, Ross Berlin, resigned after the Samsung last year. Berlin was a former PGA Tour executive hired by the William Morris Agency as Wie's agent. He returned to the tour after stepping down as Wie's agent.

* Northwestern sophomore Kevin Coble said he will take an indefinite leave from the basketball team to be with his mother, who is undergoing treatment for breast cancer. Coble will remain enrolled at Northwestern while his mother undergoes treatment in his hometown of Phoenix, Coble said.
* Spain's Oscar Pereiro was awarded the yellow jersey from the 2006 Tour de France. He moved up from second to first after the disqualification of Floyd Landis for doping.
* A coroner's inquest has been scheduled to begin today in the March 18 death of Pakistan cricket coach Bob Woolmer. Jamaican police have not ruled out a violent crime in the case.
* Former French sports minister Jean-Francois Lamour is dropping out of the race to replace Dick Pound as leader of the World Anti-Doping Agency, the French sports daily L'Equipe said on its Web site. Lamour, a WADA vice president, decided to withdraw after former Australian finance minister John Fahey entered the race with the support of the United States, New Zealand and Australia, L'Equipe said.
* Slew o'Gold, a champion 3-year-old colt who went on to sire 28 stakes winners, has died at Three Chimneys Farm in Midway, Ky. He was 27. Slew o'Gold was part of the first crop from 1977 Triple Crown winner Seattle Slew.
* Kobe Bryant sat out practice for the second straight day because of a sore knee, and said he didn't know if he'd play in the Los Angeles Lakers' next exhibition game.

* Rowan's Dan Gilmore became the eighth NCAA men's soccer coach to reach 500 wins when the Profs downed Neumann College last night, 3-2. Gilmore is 500-131-46 in 32 seasons, including Division III titles in 1981 and 1990.
* Temple quarterback Adam DiMichele was named Mid-American Conference Offensive co-Player of the Week for the East division. He threw three touchdowns in the fourth quarter and finished 23 of 34 for 242 yards in the Owls' 24-20 win over Akron. He shared the honor with Buffalo running back James Starks.
* Mary Ann Saleski, Comcast-Spectacor Foundation senior vice president, has been elected to the International Tennis Hall of Fame board of directors. *
