On average, tickets bought on TicketsNow.com to Eagles home games have cost $244 in 2007, fourth highest among NFL teams.
Those using StubHub.com have spent, on
average, just over $280 for a ticket to Sunday night's game. The inventory there was close to 800, PR director Sean Pate said late yesterday, ranging from about $90 for standing room to $650 for a sideline seat. "That's a good amount
of tickets for a game that's happening in 3 days," Pate said. "For a game of this magnitude, the
prices are somewhat lower [than you'd expect]; but this obviously would be a marquee game if it wouldn't be for Super Bowl 41 and a half."
That reference, of course, was to the breathless matchup that is the Colts and Patriots in Indianapolis on Sunday. While the same number of tickets for both games (around 3,500) had been sold through StubHub, the average cost for a spot to see the game between the unbeatens was $379. As of late yesterday, the lowest price among the 270 tickets left was $383, so the average likely
will rise up through Sunday morning.
The cost to see these two games, not surprisingly, obliterates the $150 that NFL tickets are purchased for, on average, at StubHub. Indy and Philly are on the high side of the average, at $237. *
