Phillies RHP Adam Eaton (0-0, 4.74) vs. Pirates LHP Zach Duke (0-1, 4.37)

Phillies update: Closer Brad Lidge hasn't allowed an earned run in 10 innings ... Eaton allowed four runs on six hits in five innings in his last start, a 5-4 win over the Mets, but is looking for his first 2008 decision. He is 2-1, 9.74 in six career appearances against the Pirates, but hasn't faced them since 2005 ... Geoff Jenkins is 2-for-12 lifetime against Duke. No current Phillie has ever hit a homer off him ... Chase Utley's 3-for-4 day yesterday lifted him to No. 3 in the NL (.385, before last night's games). He is first in homers (10), two ahead of Pat Burrell and second in RBI (21), four behind Burrell.

Pirates update: They snapped a six-game losing streak with a win over the Marlins on Tuesday night ... Only five Pirates have faced Eaton before. Adam LaRoche, who is 3-for-6 lifetime, has the most experience against him ... Duke is 1-1, 3.65 in two career starts against the Phillies .... He last faced them in 2006, allowing seven runs on 10 hits in 5 1/3 innings ... CF Nate McLouth and RF Xavier Nady entered last night both hitting more than .340.
