Roberts winner in womens triathlon

Leah Roberts won the third annual Philadelphia Women's Triathlon yesterday off Kelly Drive.

Roberts, 26, of Philadelphia, finished the course in 1 hour, 19 minutes, 2 seconds. She was 12 seconds ahead of runner-up Diane Rogers of Riverton, Burlington County.

Philadelphia's Michele Pollio, 44, was third.

The race began with a 750-meter swim in the Schuylkill. The cycling portion was 17 miles and the running portion was 5,000 meters.
