Maybe the producers should be thankful. Paris did a ton of promotion for "The Hottie and the Nottie," and that movie didn't make enough money to pay for her suite at the Four Seasons.
But Worldwide Entertainment Group has filed suit in Miami, alleging that the hotel heiress owes them $75,000 in damages for not fulfilling her obligations.
Paris entered into an agreement in 2004 for the production and distribution of "Pledge This!" according to the lawsuit. She then starred in the film and received credit as an executive producer.
The company said that it paid Paris and her company, Paris Hilton Entertainment Inc., $1 million for "Hilton's acting services" and for "reasonable promotion and publicity" for the movie, which featured Paris as the president of an exclusive sorority.
A million? For her "acting services"?
You guys were taken.
* Also back in the non-news is Britney Spears, who tells OK! magazine that her next album, due in 2009, "is more urban."
"This is my best work ever," she said.
Because nothing says urban like a white girl from rural Louisiana.
As for the younger Spears . . .
Not that we for one second expected Jamie Lynn Spears to marry her babydaddy, Casey Aldridge, but this story from In Touch Weekly is sure to put a damper on the wedding plans.
Kelli Dawson, 28, tells In Touch that she and 19-year-old Casey were a couple - and were still sleeping together when Jamie Lynn was six months pregnant with his child. Kelli says that the two still meet up on a regular basis.
"I see him all the time, at least once a week," she says. Although now, she says, they just kiss.
"Kelli and Casey have been a couple on and off for a few years," confirms Jason Alexander, who was married to Britney for two days. "They were a really tight couple, but I think it was hard for Kelli, having Jamie Lynn in the picture."
And it was probably difficult for Jamie Lynn having Kelli in the picture.
Kelli tells In Touch that she and Casey stopped sleeping together a few months before Jamie Lynn gave birth to their daughter because "It just didn't feel right."
"He had to deal with the baby coming," she said, "and it had to stop."
