Bucks mother pleads guilty in sex-party case

A Bucks County mother, accused of letting a teenage sleepover in her home turn into a sex party between some of the boys and an adult friend of hers, pleaded guilty yesterday in Bucks County Court.

Lynne Long-Higham, 46, of Lower Makefield, pleaded guilty to all charges against her: three counts of endangering the welfare of children and three counts of corruption of minors. Each crime is a misdemeanor carrying a maximum penalty of five years in prison.

Judge Rea B. Boylan ordered Long-Higham to continue with mental-health counseling until her sentencing, which has not been scheduled.

In April, Long-Higham's home was the setting for what began as a routine party for friends of the older of her two sons. By the next morning, authorities say, two of the six boys sleeping over had engaged in sex acts with Long-Higham's 38-year-old friend, Angela Honeycutt.

At a hearing in July, a 15-year-old boy testified that he had sex with Honeycutt after she enticed him into the shower with her. A second boy, 14, said he also had joined Honeycutt in the shower and engaged in sex acts with her there.

The boys said Honeycutt had struck up sexual conversations, kissed some of them, danced provocatively and exposed herself before luring them into the shower. She is scheduled for trial Sept. 29 on charges including statutory sexual assault and indecent assault.

Long-Higham, who has worked in the health-care industry, was not charged with taking part in the acts. But authorities accused her of standing by while the crimes were occurring, and urging one of the boys to not tell what had happened.
