What we're talking about after the Phillies beat the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 5 last night to win the World Series:
* The drought is over. For the first time in 25 years, Philadelphia will have a world-championship parade. And for the first time since 1980, the Phillies have won the world championship.
* The turning point of the game might well have come in the top of the seventh. After the Phillies took the lead in the sixth, Tampa Bay tied the score on Rocco Baldelli's homer with one out. The Rays appeared on the verge of taking the lead when second baseman Chase Utley made a terrific stop on a grounder hit up the middle by Akinori Iwamura and then threw out Jason Bartlett, who earlier had singled, trying to score from second for the final out of the inning.
