A weekly look at how the Eagles have fared under coach Andy Reid continues with Week 13, 2004:

It was billed as a showdown of two of the NFC's better teams, but all it revealed was how far ahead the Eagles were from the rest of the conference.

Donovan McNabb threw five touchdowns and set a franchise record with 464 passing yards as the 11-1 Eagles overwhelmed the Packers, 47-17. McNabb started with 14 consecutive completions, which, counting the previous game, gave him 24 and broke Joe Montana's league record.

"Any time you get to set an NFL record, that's pretty good," Reid said. "That's quite an accomplishment. I'm partial, but I think he's the best in the business."

Brian Westbrook had 156 yards receiving and three touchdowns, while Terrell Owens had 161 receiving yards and a first-quarter touchdown that was his 14th of the season and set an Eagles record.

The Birds entered the fourth quarter leading, 44-3, before the Packers (7-5) tacked on a couple of cosmetic touchdowns.

The following night, McNabb and some other Eagles attended a lavish birthday party for Owens. Seems like a hundred years ago, doesn't it?

Reid's Week 13 record: 6-3. Last year: Lost at home to Seattle, 28-24.
