The La Salle women's basketball team arrived at the holiday break in a merry mood after a 63-47 nonconference victory over Rider yesterday at Tom Gola Arena.

The Explorers have won three straight.

"It's a great feeling," said Margaret Elderton after scoring a season-high 19 points. "Especially since we had a couple of rough ones, it's nice to bounce back on a roll. You almost don't want to take the break, but we could use the time off."

La Salle (7-5) pulled away at the end of the first half and was never seriously threatened the rest of the way. The Explorers are 7-0 in their series with the Broncs.
