7:05, Citizens Bank Park. TV: Channel 17. Radio: WPHT (1210-AM); WUBA (1480-AM) Spanish.

Braves RHP Jair Jurrjens (13-10, 3.68 in 2008) vs. Phillies LHP Jamie Moyer (16-7, 3.71)

Braves update: Jurrjens was Atlanta's most dependable starter last year, his first full season in the majors. "He has already shown you he can dominate," Hall of Famer Don Sutton, one of the team's broadcasters, told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution ... Rookie CF Jordan Schafer homered in his first big-league at-bat Sunday night. He became the fifth player in Atlanta history to homer in his major league debut, joining Bob Horner (1978), Jermaine Dye (1996), Marty Malloy (1998) and Jeff Francoeur (2005) ... RF Francoeur also homered in the opener. That's significant because Braves outfielders hit a total of just 27 home runs all last season ... Tomorrow's starter, Javier Vazquez, is one of three starting pitchers Atlanta added during the offseason, along with Derek Lowe and Kenshin Kawakami.

hillies update: Nobody is concerned, but the 46-year-old Moyer was 1-2 with an 8.27 earned run average in spring training ... The first homestand of the season ends tomorrow afternoon. There will be a pregame ceremony during which players are presented their World Series rings, then RHP Javier Vazquez (12-16, 4.67 for the White Sox last season), starts against RHP Joe Blanton (9-12, 4.69 for the A's and Phillies) ... Blanton has never lost wearing a Phillies uniform ... After an open date, the team will play a weekend series at Colorado. The probables for Coors Field: Phillies LHP Cole Hamels vs. Rockies' RHP Jason Marquis Friday afternoon in Colorado's home opener, RHP Brett Myers vs. RHP Jorge De La Rosa on Saturday night and RHP Chan Ho Park in his Phillies debut against RHP Aaron Cook on Sunday.
