76ers are in a position to upset

Hey, guys. Don't mean to be Mr. Topic Boss, but Gonzovacant's been falling down on the job recently. I was wondering what your level of confidence is in the 76ers as they approach tonight's Game 2 in Orlando. They came back from way down in the fourth quarter of the opener and got a pretty good win.

For me, if all it takes is a combined 35 effective minutes from Theo Ratliff and Donyell Marshall to beat the Magic, I think the Sixers are still in big trouble.

Story continues below.

I have faith that Donyell Marshall looks like Ludacris. Beyond that, I'm not convinced that this team can pull the upset and get past the first round.

I like when Ford leads off. It's about time the two of you carry your weight. I've been doing all the heavy lifting on this thing since its inception. It's nice to have someone else tote the bags for once.

Glad to help, John. You were obviously struggling. The thing about the NBA is that superior teams go to sleep sometimes. There's no excuse for the Magic in Game 1. I think they're probably awake now and the next Sixers win will be 10 times tougher than the last. If they go back to Orlando for Game 5 with two wins, that will be an accomplishment.

Will it be an accomplishment? Would winning two or three games but losing the series really mean anything? I'm honestly asking.

I think if they can score the basketball and keep the Magic from scoring the basketball, they have a chance.

Really, I'm with Bob here. This feels all too much like last year's Detroit series or the 2001 Finals against the Lakers. Win one, tick off the better team, and then take your pounding. If the Sixers can make this a legitimate six- or seven-game series, that would be an accomplishment.

And really, carry our weight? Waking up, trolling Deadspin and then rushing off to Wax's crib for a manly Wii session is carrying us?

Taking into consideration this is just added work we didn't have to do before you showed up with your fancy Page 2 gig? And you're carrying us? That's a perspective I had not considered.

"Fancy Page 2 gig" is a perspective I hadn't considered. I suppose we both learned something today.
