Maybe we should put together a list of players who could lead their teams to the conference championship game, only to lose it. We could put Super Five at the head of that class. Would that make him feel better, after the snubs from Mosley and FoxSports? Of course, we'd have to hear about it on his Yardbarker blog.
Seriously, new contract or not, this is what happens when one man - Manning - has won a Super Bowl, and the other one hasn't. I'm not a huge Manning fan, but he's got a ring and McNabb doesn't, and the ring trumps fundamentals and athleticism and everything else.

I guess I'm sort of surprised by how highly valued Manning is these days. The Super Bowl run was impressive, but the other three years he made the playoffs, the Giants lost in the first round.

Media rankings are baloney. I know, I've done them. It doesn't matter what Fox says, obviously, but the bottom line is McNabb hasn't won and is coming off a season in which he played poorly for a month and got benched, then needed a miracle to make the postseason.

"It doesn't matter what Fox says." That's kind of mean, Bob. Ashley is part of the team now.
