Phillies update: Hamels is 1-2 with a 3.31 ERA in five starts this month. He is coming off a disappointing outing against the Blue Jays in which he allowed four runs on eight hits in 4 2/3 innings and was ejected after mouthing off to the home plate umpire after Charlie Manuel removed him from the game ... Hamels faced the Braves on May 8, allowing two runs on three hits and striking out seven in six innings of a game the Phillies won, 10-6 ... Hamels is 7-3 with a 3.42 ERA in 12 career starts against Atlanta.

Braves update: The 23-year-old Jurrjens has established himself as one of the league's top young arms. He started the season allowing fewer than three earned runs in nine of his first 10 starts, including 5 2/3 scoreless innings against the Phillies on April 7 ... Jurrjens has allowed more than four earned runs in a start just once this season, and is coming off a loss to the Red Sox in which he allowed three in eight innings ... Jurrjens is 2-2 with a 2.76 ERA in five career starts against the Phils.
