Phillies lefthanded prospect Yohan Flande experienced trouble in his debut for the Double A Reading Phillies last night against visiting Altoona, but wound up with a no-decision.
He pitched six innings; all five runs he allowed (all earned) came in the second, which included a two-out, two-run homer by shortstop Brian Friday. Flande finished with four hits allowed, three walks and four strikeouts, exiting with a 7.50 earned run average.
He left with the R-Phils trailing, 5-4, but they tied it in the ninth and won it, 6-5, in the 12th on a solo homer by Kevin Mahar.
