Reds RHP Aaron Harang (5-8, 3.86) vs. Phillies LHP J.A. Happ (5-0, 2.96)

Reds update: Harang stymied the Phillies back on May 20 in Cincinnati, allowing one run on four hits and striking out nine in seven innings of a 5-1 Reds win ... Since that win, he is 1-4 with a 4.73 ERA ... Harang is coming off a solid outing against the Diamondbacks in which he allowed two runs on four hits and struck out eight in seven innings ... Harang is 4-3 with a 2.83 ERA at home and 1-5 with a 4.94 ERA on the road ... Ryan Hanigan entered last night leading all NL rookies with a .428 on base percentage.

Phillies update: Happ has not been charged with a loss in 11 straight starts ... Happ is 3-0 with a 3.16 ERA in eight starts since replacing Chan Ho Park in the rotation in mid-May ... Happ has allowed just four earned runs in 22 innings in his last three starts ... Happ battled through seven innings against the Braves in his most recent outing, working out of several jams while allowing two runs on seven hits. The Phillies lost 5-2, but Happ received a no decision ... Happ has never faced the Reds ... Pedro Feliz entered last night with three hits in his last 26 at-bats with runners in scoring position, lowering his average in such situations from .452 to .328.
