Philadelphia police last night were investigating the death of a man who was involved in an altercation outside Citizens Bank Park in South Philadelphia.

The 22-year-old man suffered fatal injuries when he was beaten by several men in a fight that spilled out of a stadium restaurant and into the parking lot at Seventh Street and Pattison Avenue. The man was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was pronounced dead at 7:25 p.m., police said.

A 30-year-old man was taken to Methodist Hospital, where he was in stable condition last night, police said.

The fight happened as the Phillies played the St. Louis Cardinals.

Police did not identify either victim, and investigators were trying to piece together what happened.
