If you found yourself smacking the television set wondering what happened to the sound at various moments during yesterday's Eagles-Panthers broadcast, it wasn't your TV's fault.
"The dropoffs in audio were caused by a transmission problem from the remote to Fox' broadcast center in Los Angeles," said Ileana Pena, director of communications for Fox Sports. "We apologized to our viewers immediately [which was done during the broadcast by announcer Dick Stockton] and fixed the issue as soon as we possibly could."
