Have either of you guys seen anything from Kevin Kolb that leads you to believe he can get the Eagles a win on Sunday? Or a touchdown?

I realize we haven't seen much of him yet, but he's been out there long enough where we ought to have seen a spark, a glint, a glimmer, something promising. To me, this guy looks like he couldn't back up Bobby Hoying.

For perhaps the first time in our respective 40-year careers, I find myself in complete agreement with Frank. . . . Other than throw interceptions and fumble, Kevin Kolb remains a complete mystery.

Thursday Talkin' is back off the IR? I was just getting my thoughts out there on YouTube. (Did I get that in before the deadline on lame Shawn Andrews jokes?)

Who can take a pro-Kolb side right now? He's got maybe a one-half window to prove himself after the Eagles re-signed the last backup worth anything and un-exempted Vick to get his practice reps before next week.

Lame Shawn Andrews jokes? . . . Aren't those three words redundant? . . . I'm trying to recall another football player so uniquely unfathomable. Football's militaristic tendencies tend to produce unquestioning conformists. Maybe the aptly named Joe Don Looney?

Part of Andrews' unique unfathomableness is that he comes out and says things like "Big Red ... I love you, man." He won't even conform to established standards of nonconformity. That's a gift.

If you listen to what Shawn Andrews is saying on the video, you understand his problem completely. Even in the inflated numbers of 2009, it's hard to blow $10 million "getting your Michael Phelps on." . . .
