Nationals LHP Ross Detwiler vs. Phillies LHP Cole Hamels

Nationals update: Detwiler gets the start tonight as the Nationals have pushed RHP J.D. Martin back to face the Mets at Citi Field tomorrow ... Detwiler, 23, started against the Phillies on May 29, allowing five runs on 10 hits in four innings of a 5-4 Phillies win. Shane Victorino went 4-for-5 ... Detwiler's last start came on July 8 against the Rockies.

Phillies update: Hamels is coming off a win over the Mets in which he allowed one run on seven hits ... Hamels is 2-2 with a 2.43 ERA in his last six starts and is 4-4 with a 3.30 ERA in 11 starts since the All-Star break ... Hamels has faced the Nationals twice this season, most recently in a 9-6 win on May 30 in which he allowed six runs in six innings. Hamels also pitched 4 1/3 scoreless innings on April 28 in a 7-1 Phillies win ... RHP Tyler Walker's career-best scoreless innings streak ended last night at 14 2/3 last night when he allowed an RBI single in the ninth.
