Today, we talk with Springfield (Delco) High quarterback Wally Rutecki:

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE SPORTS TEAM?

The Eagles, because I enjoy watching them every Sunday and because I grew up watching them.

WHO'S YOUR FAVORITE PRO ATHLETE?

Donovan McNabb. I think he's an exciting player.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE TELEVISION SHOW?

"Two and a Half Men."

WHEN DID YOU START PLAYING FOOTBALL?

I started playing flag football in kindergarten and didn't put the pads on until fifth grade.

WHAT OTHER SPORTS DO YOU LIKE TO PLAY?

Basketball and baseball.

WHAT DO YOU SEE YOURSELF DOING WHEN YOU GET OLDER?

I see myself as some sort of a businessman or entrepreneur.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE SPORTS MOMENT?

A comeback victory last year against Marple Newtown, when I threw a 5-yard touchdown pass in the last minute.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE SUBJECT IN SCHOOL?

Social studies. I like learning about history and current events that are going on in the world.

WHAT TEAMMATE DO YOU MOST ADMIRE?

(WR/LB) Bill McCullough and (WR/LB) Joe DeVinney, because those two put it all on the line every practice, every game.

WHO'S THE BETTER FOOTBALL PLAYER, YOU OR YOUR COUSIN JOHN RUTECKI (WHO WAS A 3-YEAR STARTER AT MARPLE NEWTOWN)?

John was a better player. He took his team to the playoffs and I haven't proved that yet.
