Last Dec. 8, a deer hunter discovered the decomposed body of Marc Rubin wrapped in a carpet and dumped off a dirt road in a wooded area between Black Horse Pike and Atlantic City Expressway.
Authorities eventually learned that Christina Rubin, a graduate student from Abington Township, Montgomery County, had paid her boyfriend, Jeffrey Leinheiser, to shoot and kill her father because he was mean to her, prosecutors said.
Christina Rubin and Leinheiser allegedly tried to dismember Marc Rubin with a chain saw but gave up. They had planned to dump his body in the ocean, prosecutors said, but instead dumped him in the woods on opening day of shotgun season for white-tailed deer.
Rubin and Leinheiser have pleaded guilty to homicide charges but have a trial scheduled for Nov. 16 to determine their degree of culpability, said Kevin Steele, assistant district attorney in Montgomery County.
Anyone with information about the body found yesterday is asked to call the prosecutor's office at 609-909-7800.
