It all comes down to ... How the Quakers handle the early schedule (Penn State, Villanova, Drexel, Duke before the calendar turns to 2010). If they can get though some difficult games and start to get better, they might have a chance to be a factor in the Ivy, where for the third consecutive season, the other seven teams are looking up at Cornell.

Shouldering the load: Tyler Bernardini is going to have to get up 17 to 20 shots per game, make a solid percentage of threes and score anywhere from 18 to 22 points per game. If he doesn't score, one wonders where the points will come from.

Numbers to watch: Can any player beyond Bernardini get into double figures on a regular basis and can this team shoot better than 31.4 percent from the arc.

Key stretch: From Feb. 12 to Feb. 20, the Quakers play five consecutive Ivy home games against Cornell, Columbia, Princeton, Brown and Yale. After going just 3-11 (1-6 Ivy) at the Palestra last season, they have to win at home this season to have any chance.

Quote of note: "We still don't have those couple of guys that are proven first-team all conference guys that can separate you, make the plays in critical situations, not at least yet. We're going to be more of a collective contribution team. When you're like that, all the small things become that much more critical."- Glen Miller
